About Alex

Hello! I’m Alex De Hoyos and I’m the Minister of Worship and Membership Care here at FBC Bridgeport. I was born and raised in San Antonio (Go Spurs Go!) and I graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music in 2007. I met Julie in choir during high school and we were married in 2008. God has blessed us with two wonderful girls, Katharine and Caroline. After many years of teaching, singing and playing music in a variety of choirs and bands, I answered God’s call into vocational ministry. I’ve been on staff here since February 2019 and we love this church and town! I love God, I love singing and playing music and I love leading others to do the same, for the glory of God.
